2018 Summer Program Offerings
Eagle Basketball Youth Camp
Grades 1-2 $90; Grades 3-8 $110
EP Varsity Coach Ellen Wiese, along with some of her high school players, will run the EP youth camp from June 11-15th. The times for each grade are listed below but please note that time may change slightly due to the number of registrants. The younger grades will be taught basic fundamentals in a fun-filled environment with camps and competitions. The older grade sessions will be structured more akin to a high school practice with great emphasis on fundamental skill development. The summer is the best time for players to really work on the fundamentals of the game in order to increase their skill level.
This camp will be held June 11-15 on the following days and times:
Monday & Friday:
Grades 1-2: 9:00-10:15 am - NEW TIME
Grades 3-4: 9:00-10:15 am
Grades 5-6: 10:15-11:30 am
Grades 7-8: 11:45 am-1:00 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday:
Grades 1-2: 10:00-11:15 am - NEW TIME
Grades 3-4: 10:00-11:15 am
Grades 5-6: 11:30 am-12:45 pm
Grades 7-8: 12:45 am-2:00 pm
The camp will take place in the EPHS Main Gym and Activity Center.
Summer Shooting-Dribbling Challenge
June 1 - Sept 15
Grades 3-8 - Free
This summer program is designed to motivate and assist players in developing their dribbling and shooting skills. The Challenge is open to both travel and in-house players and runs from June 1 to September 15.
New grade-level goals have been established for both MADE baskets and dribbling minutes and players will receive new prizes and recognition for meeting their shooting goal or dribbling goal or both. For players who want an extra challenge this summer, special recognition and prizes will be given to those who achieve a stretch goal of 10,000 made shots and 1,000 dribbled minutes.
Players will track their baskets and dribbling minutes by downloading this Tracking Sheet and submitting their progress monthly. Reminders will be sent to trigger the monthly submissions and a leaderboard will be posted on the EPGBA website at the close of each month.
New this year, the tracking sheet includes suggested 50, 100, 150 and 200-shot routines to help players work on a variety of shots and more easily track their sessions. Links to dribbling drills and routines are also provided.
Registration: All players much register for the challenge by clicking here. Registration will be open through the summer, but the challenge begins on June 1!
