Each team will be registered by EPGBA's Tournament Scheduler, to play in tournaments throughout the season from November through early March.  EPGBA will pay the entry fee for travel teams to participate in tournaments as follows:  

Grade 4-6: 8 tournaments
Grade 7:     9 tournaments
Grade 8:     10 tournaments

This includes the EP Tip Off, Rochester, and MYAS Grade State Tournaments (4th grade teams do not participate in the State Tourney). All 4-8th Grade travel teams may register for additional two (2) tournaments at their own cost.  
 
EP Tip-Off Tournament
EPGBA hosts an invitational travel tournament each year that is held at the EPHS Activity Center and Main Gym. The primary purpose of the tournament is to raise funds necessary to make the traveling program more affordable to Eden Prairie families.  

 
The two-day tournament is held around the first weekend of November and families are expected to volunteer 4-8 hours of work during the tournament.  Volunteer assignments include gate admissions, keeping the official scorebook or clock, gym monitor, and concessions.  At the first day of tryouts, each player is required to bring a check for $200.  Parents who do not work all assigned hours will forfeit the check/deposit to EPGBA.  Families of head coaches will not be expected to work the tournament.  
 
Rochester Tournament
At the end of February, all teams travel to Rochester to participate in one of the largest tournaments in the State. This tournament is a great opportunity for our teams to celebrate the season, watch each other play, and make final preparations for the season-ending State Tournament.  For 4th Grade teams only, this will be their last tournament of the season.  More information will be provided to families in January.

 
MYAS Grade State Tournament
In early March, all 5-8th grade teams will participate in the Grade State Tournament.  Games are played at a variety of locations in and around the metro area.  EPGBA's Tournament Scheduler will work with coaches/team manager to collect player grade verification information, win/loss record and then submit entry forms and fees to MYAS in January.  Based on each teams' record, MYAS will post an initial team seeding on their website.  Coaches are expected to attend a seeding meeting in mid-February, where they will have the oppoturnity to meet with coahces within thier division, and determine the final seeding for their bracket.
